Review procedure
1. Submitted texts are initially evaluated by the Editors (who check for compliance with the journal’s profile and the fulfilment of academic and formal requirements). The evaluation of texts is not influenced by the nationality, ethnic origin, race, gender, sexual orientation, or the religious and political beliefs of the authors.
2. All submitted papers are reviewed by at least two reviewers affiliated with different universities (institutions) than those to which the authors are affiliated. The editors choose reviewers from among specialists in a given field. In the case of interdisciplinary texts, more than two reviewers can be appointed. The editors publish the list of reviewers once a year in Ruch Prawniczy, Ekonomiczny i Socjologiczny [Poznań Journal of Law, Economics and Sociology] (in Issue 1 for each previous calendar year). From 2024, the list of RPEiS reviewers will be published only on the webpage.
3. The journal uses double-blind review. The assessment criteria on the review sheet are: type of text, appropriately worded title, originality and current relevance of the problem, appropriate formulation of the research subject, manner in which research is conducted, methodological basis of article, formal accuracy of the manuscript, range of literature referenced, conformity with the profile of the journal, range of solutions to the problem and the author’s contribution to scientific knowledge. RPEiS review sheet.
4. Reviewers’ comments are forwarded to the author of the text. The author should attach the responses to the reviews to the revised version of the article.
5. Two unequivocally positive reviews are required for a text to be accepted for publication. In the event of a conflicting assessment of the text by two reviewers, the editors may appoint a third reviewer.
6. The Editorial Board will only accept texts for publication that have received two unequivocally positive reviews and have been approved by the Editorial Committee.
7. Reviews of articles are prepared free of charge, in accordance with previously accepted custom.
8. Reviews and all documentation of the review process are kept in the archives of the Editorial Office.
